Job Description:
- Own end-to-end surface treatment processes including cleaning, passivation, anodizing, plating, and coating from NPI to mass production.
- Develop and optimize surface treatment process parameters to meet cosmetic, corrosion, and functional requirements.
- Drive FAI, process qualification, and technical readiness for new product introduction.
- Troubleshoot surface finishing defects such as peeling, stains, discolorations, pitting, burn marks, and thickness variation.
- Lead yield improvement, scrap reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Work closely with machining, quality, and suppliers to ensure surface treatment requirements are achieved.
- Established SOP, WI, PFMEA, Control Plan, and process documentation.
- Support supplier qualification and manage outsourced surface treatment vendors.
- Participate in customer audits, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and chemical handling requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in surface treatment or finishing process
- Knowledge in anodizing, passivation, electropolishing, plating, or coating processes
- Familiar with surface finish requirements, coating thickness, and cosmetic standards
- Experience in process development, qualification, and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and surface finish callouts
- Experience working with external surface treatment and suppliers
- Knowledge of chemical process control and bath monitoring is preferred
- Familiar with ISO quality system and process documentation
- Strong problem-solving and shopfloor support capability
- Experience in precision machining or semiconductor industry is an added advantage
